Publishing an Internet Marketing Newsletter

. Monday, August 11, 2008

Many people who are involved in internet marketing have realized an important piece of information - you must keep in contact with your subscribers as much as possible! If you don't, you can ruin the relationship that you have that has taken so much work to develop in the first place. However, you may be wondering how you work to nourish the relationship you have with those subscribers. Well, one great method to consider is using newsletters to keep in touch. Not sure that this is the right choice for you? Well, let's take a look at some of the pros and cons, and you can make the decision for yourself.

The Pros Pro #1 = Regular Contact - One of the main advantages of going with a newsletter to keep in contact with subscribers is that it offers you a way to have contact on a regular basis. Subscribers begin to expect that contact and look forward to hearing what you have to say, which helps to develop the relationship even more.

Pro #2 - Excellent Method of Communication - You'll also find that a good newsletter is an excellent method of communication that allows you to express your ideas and your thoughts with your subscribers.

Pro #3 - Build a Connection - While you no doubt already have started to build a bond and a connection with those subscribers, having a newsletter that goes out on a regular basis can help you to build and strengthen that bond even further than before, which is so important.

Pro #4 - Easy to Deliver - Another advantage of using newsletters in internet marketing is that they are so easy to deliver. You already have a schedule in place, so you don't have to guess when will be the correct time to send out a mailing to your subscribers.

The Cons
Con #1 - Locked into a Schedule - While it can be a pro to have a schedule, sometimes it can be a con as well. When you are committed to publishing a newsletter, you have to send things out on time, and this means the newsletter has to go out, whether you are feeling creative or not.

Con #2 - Limited Space - Another problem that some people have with these newsletters is that they only have limited space. It can be a bit difficult to have to say everything that you want to in a set amount of space, especially if you are trying to appeal to many diverse subscribers that you have.

Con #3 - Takes Time and Effort - The time and effort that are required are often considered a disadvantage as well. This is due to the fact that it really does take work to produce a quality newsletter on a regular basis.
After looking at the pros and cons of having a newsletter, more than likely you are still going to realize that they can be great additions to your internet marketing strategy. Sure, it is going to take some work on your part, but the benefits far outweigh the negatives in this case.
